MULTIFUNCTIONAL STIMULUS-SENSITIVE MICROCAPSULES AND NANOCRYSTALS FOR EARLY DIAGNOSIS AND EFFICACIOUS TREATMENT OF LUNG AND BREAST CANCERS (State Contract no. 16.1034.2017/PCh)

In the course of applied research on Multifunctional Stimulus-Sensitive Microcapsules and Nanocrystals for Early Diagnosis and Efficacious Treatment of Lung and Breast Cancers (State Contract no. 16.1034.2017/PCh, Grant Agreement of May 31, 2017), the possibility of in vivo diagnosis of tumors in the optical imaging and fluorescent contrast modes has been demonstrated in mouse models. Scientific literature has been analyzed to compile a patent and research database on available information about the methods for obtaining colloidally stable nanoparticles and microcapsules, as well as their conjugates with capture molecules (antibodies), and targeted and stimulus-sensitive delivery. At an intralaboratory seminar of the Nanomedicine Group, the results of the studies have been presented and issues of further exploration of the possibilities of targeted, controlled delivery, as well as diagnosis using stimulus-sensitive microcapsules containing excitonic and/or magnetic nanoparticles have been discussed.
