Researchers from the Laboratory of Nano-Bioengineering of NRNU MEPhI participated in the annual colloquium of the ICENAP international collaboration in Reims, France

September 19–21, 2018, the annual colloquium of the ICENAP (Integrated Computational Engineering, Characterization and Validation of Semiconductor Colloidal Nanocrystals with Advanced Properties) international collaboration was held at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne, France. The colloquium summarized the outcomes of a four-year international project on the synthesis and characterization of quantum dots, fluorescent semiconductor nanocrystals, to be used in biomedical applications.

Dr. Pavel S. Samokhvalov, deputy head of the Laboratory of Nano-Bioengineering (LNBE), gave a statement on the methods of synthesis of advanced, ultrasmall quantum dots, analysis of their optical and structural characteristics, as well as validation of the long-term stability of properties of these next-generation quantum dots.

Dr. Samokhvalov is the principal investigator of the project on Integrated Computational Engineering, Characterization and Validation of Semiconductor Colloidal Nanocrystals with Advanced Properties supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation under Grant Agreement no. 14.587.21.0039 of July 17, 2017, in the framework of Activity 2.2: support of research in collaboration with EU countries. LNBE of NRNU MEPhI is an associated member of the ICENAP international collaboration, which also includes the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne, France, departments of Theoretical Chemistry and Physical Chemistry of the Technical University of Dresden, Germany, and the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing at Berlin, Germany.

Igor R. Nabiev, professor of the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne, France, and Director of the European Technological Platform "Semiconductor Nanocrystals", is the head of the ICENAP international collaboration.
