Our colleagues Dmitriy Dovzhenko and Pavel Linkov participated in a summer school on nanotechnologies

Two researchers of the Laboratory of Nano-Bioengineering (LNBE) of NRNU MEPhI, engineer Dmitriy Dovzhenko and junior researcher Pavel Linkov, took part in the Physics School on Physical Properties of Nanoparticles: Characterization and Applications, which was held at the Physical Center of Bad Honnef in July 26–31.

At the summer school our colleagues listened to lectures by renowned scientists from European research centers. The series of lectures dealt with various aspects of nanoscience, including thermodynamics of nanosystems, methods for obtaining nanoparticles of different types and their stabilization, metrological approaches to nanotechnologies, as well as recent practical applications of nanotechnologies to biomedicine and photovoltaics. The knowledge acquired by the LNBE researchers will serve as the basis for their further studies on the synthesis, optical properties, and practical applications of nanoparticles in biomedicine and photonics.

The summer school was organized by Professors Christian Klinke, of the University of Hamburg, and Nikolai Gaponik, of the Technological University of Dresden. Both universities have long-term research relationships with LNBE.
