MULTIFUNCTIONAL STIMULUS-SENSITIVE MICROCAPSULES AND NANOCRYSTALS FOR EARLY DIAGNOSIS AND EFFICACIOUS TREATMENT OF LUNG AND BREAST CANCERS (State Contract no. 16.1034.2017/PCh)

In the course of applied research on Multifunctional Stimulus-Sensitive Microcapsules and Nanocrystals for Early Diagnosis and Efficacious Treatment of Lung and Breast Cancers (State Contract no. 16.1034.2017/PCh, Grant Agreement of May 31, 2017), the possibility of remotely controlled release of the contents of the microcapsules caused by magnetic field, ultrasound, or light has been demonstrated.

The effectiveness profiles of the released drugs have been determined, the capacity of the released nanoprobes for creating additional contrast in fluorescence imaging has been estimated, and the pathways of the elimination of microcapsules from the body have been studied. In addition, the prospects of the clinical use of the technology developed have been estimated by comparing the results of trials with the results of routine diagnostic procedures.
